The ‘PM MITRA Park’ is expected to create over 1 lakh jobs
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ambitious PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park in Dhar, on August 25, marking a major step in India’s march toward self-reliance through the Swadeshi movement.
The ‘PM MITRA Park’, focused on textile and garment manufacturing, is being developed with an investment of Rs 2000 crore and is expected to generate employment for over 1 lakh youth, particularly from tribal regions like Dhar, Jhabua, Ratlam, and Nimar. It is designed to boost indigenous production, textile exports, and rural industrialisation.
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced the inauguration
and said the state is fully aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. “Swadeshi is not just a slogan, it's a commitment. The PM MITRA Park will open new doors of prosperity and global trade from our soil,” he stated.
The project will enable ready-made garment exports from Dhar to international markets, while also ensuring better prices for local cotton farmers. It is expected to transform the area into a textile production and export hub, reinforcing Madhya Pradesh’s position in the national economy.
CM Dr Yadav also highlighted that initiatives like Har Ghar Tiranga are continuing for the fourth consecutive year, reinforcing patriotism, swadeshi pride, and community
participation ahead of Independence Day.
The PM MITRA Park, part of
a national-level initiative,
reflects the State Government’s aggressive push for industrial growth, youth employment, and cultural pride, with a combination of investment, infrastructure, and innovation.
