In a significant crackdown, the Military Intelligence (MI) team successfully apprehended a notorious fraudster who was running a fake Army recruitment racket, duping innocent people by promising jobs in the Army’s civil defence services and grabbed lakhs from them.

According to police, the arrested Rajesh Kumar Rajbhar, is a retired Army personnel who served in MH Jabalpur from 2013 to 2016. After retirement, he began impersonating Army authorities and issued fake appointment letters to unsuspecting candidates, charging them hefty sums of money in return for false promises of Army jobs. After a prolonged surveillance operation, the Military Intelligence team caught Rajbhar and handed him over to Ranjhi Police Station for further legal action.

During the interrogation conducted jointly by MI and local police, several forged joining letters and fake documents were recovered from his possession. Preliminary investigations suggest financial transactions amounting to approximately Rs 45 lakh through his fraudulent activities.
