Following a complaint lodged with the Lokayukta SP, a trap was laid, and Aman Koshta was caught accepting the bribe inside the office on Friday afternoon. The complainant, Hakam Sahu, a resident of Maharajpur, had purchased a house in a housing colony a few months ago. After submitting all required documents and affidavits to the Housing Board, he had been visiting the office repeatedly for nearly a month to get the name transfer done, but his file remained pending. In the inquiry, it was found that the file was stuck with clerk Aman Koshta, who kept giving excuses and delaying the work.

Following the complaint, the Lokayukta SP ordered a verification, which confirmed the authenticity of the allegations. On Friday afternoon, the Lokayukta team conducted a raid at the Housing Board office in Dhanwantari Nagar and caught the accused red-handed while accepting Rs 10,000 in bribe. Lokayukta DSP Neetu Tripathi informed that the complainant was being harassed ever since he bought the house and was continuously pressured by Aman Koshta to pay a bribe for the name transfer. On Friday, when the Lokayukta team reached the office, Aman Koshta was at his desk. According to the complainant, the clerk had called him earlier that morning to hand over the money. The moment Koshta accepted the cash, Lokayukta officers moved in and arrested him on the spot.
