Thousands of school sanitation workers from across Chhattisgarh attempted to gherao the BJP headquarters in Raipur. However, their march was stopped by police at Mana Basti, where the protestors were contained. Police used mild Lathi Charge.

 

The march was organized by the Part Time School Safai Karmachari Sangh Chhattisgarh, with protestors gathering at the Tuta Dharna Sthal in Nava Raipur before beginning their rally toward the BJP state office. The workers are demanding a number of concessions, including full-time collector rate salaries, regularization of their services, and payment for a full 12 months instead of 10.
