THE students of Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Ashti, brought laurels to the institution by showcasing an excellent performance at the District-Level Wushu Championship, held at Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur. In the Under-19 girls’ category, Onusharee Bhupesh Chauhan of Class X won the gold medal in 56 kg weight category. Natasha Ajay Topre of Class IX clinched the 1st place in the 75 kg category. In the Under-19 boys’ section, Riddhant Amit Pardhi (IX) bagged the top spot in–70 kg category while Jay Ajay Rokde also of Class X won the gold in 75 kg category. The victorious students were guided and mentored by Prafull Gajbhiye and Sonal Renghe, the teachers-in-charge for the event. Principal Vandana Bisen congratulated the winners.
