RAIN and wet ground conditions severely restricted play once again on the final day of the four-day match between VCA and KSCA President’s XI in the Thimmappiah Memorial Trophy in Bengaluru on Friday.
After the third day’s play was completely washed out on Thursday, there was limited action on Friday.
However, Vidarbha bowlers made the most of the opportunity by claiming the three remaining KSCA XI wickets for the addition of 59 runs. Vidarbha thus gained a vital 133-run first innings lead which ultimately proved to be decisive.
In the remaining overs possible, Vidarbha made 103-0. Openers Aman Mokhade and R Sanjay helped themselves to half-centuries.
Vidarbha thus pocketed three points from the match while KSCA got one point.
