The State-level launch of the Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan and Seva Pakhwada was held in the presence of Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi and Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai at the Auditorium of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur on Wednesday. During the programme, dignitaries listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who launched the nationwide campaign from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. In his address, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of prioritising women’s health, preventing serious illnesses, and spreading awareness through large-scale outreach initiatives.
 
Following the inaugural event, Union Minister Annpurna Devi and Chief Minister Sai visited the exhibition, where various departments showcased schemes and initiatives related to the health and nutrition of women and children. The launch programme was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Minister for Technical Education Guru Khuswant Saheb, State Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Member of Parliament from Raipur Brijmohan Agrawal, MLAs Purandar Mishra, Rajesh Munat, other public representatives and senior officials of the state government and central government. As part of the Seva Pakhwada, health camps, nutrition awareness drives, counselling sessions, and community outreach activities will be organized across the State until October 2.
 
The Government of India firmly believes that “a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong family and a strong society.”

Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi accompanied by State Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade inspected at Anganwadi Centre Nimora in Raipur district on Wednesday. Talking to media persons, Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi stated, “Through the Swasth Nari – Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, our priority is to spread awareness about women’s health issues and ensure the availability of healthcare services. It is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide better healthcare to every woman and child and to secure a healthier future generation.
 
Alongside this, the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah has also commenced today.” Annpurna Devi said that the efforts being made by the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for the nutrition, education and overall development of children through Anganwadi centres are also exemplary for other states. She said that under the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) activities in Anganwadi centres, not only nutritious food is being provided to the children, but they are also being given education through play. This is making an important contribution to the intellectual, social and physical growth of children, she added. Chairperson of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Dr Varnika Sharma, Additional Secretary of Women and Child Development Department, Govt of India Lav Aggarwal , Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Shammi Abidi, Director of Women and Child Development Department P S Alma, Raipur Collector Dr Gaurav Singh and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
