Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav highlighted the growing partnership between Madhya Pradesh and Singapore during a recent courtesy meeting with Singapore’s Consul General, Cheong Ming Foong, held at Samatva Bhavan, Bhopal. The meeting underscored the commitment of both sides to deepen co-operation in key sectors including industry training, green technology, smart cities, and skill development.
Dr Yadav praised landmark projects such as the Global Skill Park, which showcase successful collaboration between Madhya Pradesh and Singapore aimed at capacity building and empowering the youth. He emphasised that Singapore’s advanced expertise in technology, education, and skills development, combined with Madhya Pradesh’s industrial strengths and rich resources, create a strong foundation for mutual growth and innovation.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the State Government’s dedication to fostering an investor-friendly environment through supportive policies and efficient facilitation to accelerate bilateral projects. He expressed Madhya Pradesh’s eagerness to expand co-operation with Singapore across multiple domains such as industry-integrated training programmes, international quality standards, green and sustainable technologies, smart city initiatives, and educational exchanges.
Singapore’s Consul General Cheong Ming Foong expressed his appreciation for the collaborative spirit and expressed optimism about the prospects of joint ventures that would benefit both regions. The meeting also laid the groundwork for exploring new avenues of partnership to further enhance economic development and sustainable urban growth.
