WHAT the world always knew now stands endorsed with authentic reports streaming in to state that Pakistan Army has undertaken a project of training terrorists in various skills that they require to run their outfits -- such as Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). The project aimed at giving a new life to the terror outfits, Pakistan Army is reported to have begun preparing terrorists as trainers, operatives, and even commanders. It has decided to deploy its own officers to man this project so that the terror outfits that were hit the hardest during India’s “Operation Sindoor” will find a new lease of life.
It may be recalled that soon after “Operation Sindoor”, some Pakistani sources had indicated that they would look forward to reviving the terror outfits whose bases were destroyed beyond recognition in precision strikes by Indian Forces without crossing the international border or flying over any territory under Pakistani control. That proposed project appears to have been operationalised now. This has endorsed what the world -- and of course India -- knew for long: The Pakistani sponsorship of terror.
Just a few days ago, Pakistan Prime Minister Mr. Shehbaz Sharif had made a ludicrous speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) glorifying terrorism and terrorists, and attempting to show how “Operation Sindoor” was a failure (and in the same breath contradicting his own claim stating how the Indian operations had caused heavy damage to Pakistani assets). Exercising its Right To Reply, India had directed its diplomat Ms. Petal Gehlot to blast the Pakistani falsehood and “absurd theatrics”.
That statement had exposed Pakistani falsehood in the most straightforward manner -- making Pakistani Prime Minister look like a buffoon.
Close on the heels of this train of events at the United Nations, the authentic Intelligence has now emerged from Pakistan highlighting how Pak Army officers are engaged in reviving the terror outfits in every which the way. Of course, so shameless is Pakistan that it would not even flinch once with this expose`, and would indulge in justification of its action by calling terrorists as ‘freedom fighters’.
There is no need for India to say that this development is unfortunate. For, when a Rogue State like Pakistan indulges in moral filth of this kind, it does not need any sermons. It only needs a strong physical response whenever an opportunity springs up. It may even be a good idea for India to undertake proactive operations to destroy the new bases of different terror outfits no matter how deep those are in Pakistan-held territory. When those bases are to be used against India, then it is moral right to treat that action as an ‘act of war’ and take steps on its own to demolish terror bases to rubble. India should also undertake proactive steps to eliminate terrorists and their masterminds so that threat to India is taken care of.
It is for sure that India need not be worried about the international reaction to its act of self-defence. The world of today is a funny place with so-called priests of international morality -- like the United States and its minion-nations -- preaching right conduct to everybody. But they are also the ones who support Pakistan and its sponsorship of terrorism. At the recent UNGA, however, these double-standards stood exposed from various angles. Israel led the charge -- no matter against the wishes of so many member-nations -- by stressing that it would “finish the job” against Hamas as part of its right to self-defence. India, too, asserted similarly, in addition to countries such as Italy who stood firmly against terrorism or any kind and by anybody.
India, too, should become a torch-bearer of this stark realism -- beyond diplomatic niceties.
