Amidst record paddy procurement of above 1.91 million metric tons in the division, district administration is keeping vigilant eye on malpractices prevailing in the procurement process. Paddy procurement procedure for Kharif Marketing Season 2025–26 are progressing at a rapid pace. Regional Manager of the Civil Supplies Corporation, Sadhna Paraste, informed that the procurement process is currently underway across the division. She informed that against a total of 3,95,695 registered farmers, paddy has so far been procured from 3,09,837 farmers, amounting to 1,917,718.87 metric tons.
 
Paraste further informed that payments totalling Rs 2,766.97 crore have been made to 1,94,992 farmers and the payment process to farmers is continuing on a regular basis. Along with this, 1,518,734.79 metric tons of paddy has already been transported against the total quantity procured. She added that continuous monitoring and supervision of the procurement process is being carried out through the district-level procurement committees, ensuring timely procurement of paddy and prompt payment to farmers.
 
For the year 2025–26, a total of 55,091 farmers have been registered, covering an area of 86,858.29 hectares across 89 procurement centres. Out of the total registered farmers, 42,805 farmers have sold their produce so far, which accounts for nearly 78 percent of registered farmers. Transportation progress stands at 91.46 percent of the total procured quantity, while the remaining transportation balance is 8.54 percent. Against the handled and transported quantity, 2,45,739.75 metric tons has been approved, reflecting 88.28 percent efficiency in approval. The approved quantity constitutes 80.74 percent of the total paddy procured, while the overall WHR (Warehouse Receipt) generation stands at 72.26 percent.
