Somnath Swabhiman Parv 2026 stands as a symbol of the pride, resilience and unity of Sanatan Dharma. It reminds the nation that repeated attempts by invaders to erase Indian culture have always failed and that Sanatan values continue to rise with renewed strength, said Bharatiya Janata Party District President Ratnesh Sonkar while addressing devotees after the Omkar mantra chanting and worship organised at the Shiva temple in Kachnar City.
He said on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Somnath Swabhiman Parv 2026 was observed across Sanskardhani, with Omkar mantra chanting organised in Shiva temples in all 18 mandals. The main programme was held at renowned Shiva temple in Kachnar City, where worship and mantra chanting were led by Sonkar. Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh, State Treasurer Akhilesh Jain, Municipal Corporation President Rikunj Vij, other public representatives and party office bearers were present.
Addressing the gathering, Ratnesh Sonkar said Somnath Swabhiman Parv is being celebrated across the country under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He recalled that the Somnath temple was destroyed by invader Mahmud of Ghazni around a thousand years ago and was reconstructed a century ago. He added that the Prime Minister has launched the Sahastra Sankalp Yatra from Somnath, symbolising India’s civilisational resolve. Despite countless attacks on Sanatan culture, India today stands as one of the world’s most enduring and respected civilisations, he said.
