Chief Minister attends Gaura PujaFestival, Baiga Pujari Conference

CHIEF Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the Gaura Puja Festival and Baiga Pujari Conference at Maharishi Valmiki Ashram, ITI Rampur in Korba district. Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Sai said that the tribal community has its own glorious history, unique culture and rich traditions. Baiga and Pujari communities are still playing a very important role in preserving these traditions, he added.
 
Chief Minister Sai announced to name the Balco Road from ITI Chowk as ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Path’ and to install statues of tribal heroes at the starting point of this road. He also highlighted the works of his government. In his address, Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is moving ahead with the goal of developed India, similarly, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, work is progressing rapidly towards developed Chhattisgarh.
 
He said that there are many ancient religious places in the district, which are being developed under the guidance of Chief Minister Sai and are being given a new identity as tourist destinations. Katghora MLA Premchand Patel, Panatram Bhagat and Birbal Singh also addressed the programme. Mayor Sanju Devi Rajput, former Minister Nankiram Kanwar, other public representatives and people in large number were present.
