SURMAYEE Sathe of Nagpur finished second best in girls singles of the MSLTA-Gondwana Club All India Ranking Championship Series (CS7) Under-16 Tennis Tournament on Thursday. Shibani Gupte, who trains at reputed Nandan Bal Tennis Academy in Pune, was too good for Surmayee. She recorded a convincing 6-0, 6-2 win over Nagpur lass in the summit clash. In boys singles semi-finals, Soham Ransubhe beat Vihaan Srivastava 6-4, 6-4 while Puranjay Kutwal defeated Mohit Charmode 7-5, 6-2. Puranjay will face Soham from Pune in the final.
 
oth boys showed remarkable performance throughout the tournament. In boys doubles last-four stage, Meeresh Girdhani-Hitarth Surana beat Vihaan Pongde-Mohit Charmode 6-3, 6-4 while Soham-Hriishav Ravalah beat Vishwas Chandrasekaran-Akhilesh Chavan 6-3, 3-6(10-8). Boys singles and doubles finals will be played on Friday.
