A PUBLIC awareness campaign
for the Government’s Viksit
Bharat - Ji Ram Ji Kanoon 2025
(VB–G RAM G) Scheme was
launched in Vidisha this week,
aimed at informing villagers
about new opportunities in
employment, skill development,
and sustainable projects. The
campaign, part of a broader drive
to promote self-reliant villages
and rural prosperity, seeks to
engage local communities and
ensure that the benefits of the
scheme reach every eligible
household.
Under VB–G RAM G, the guaranteed employment period in
rural areas has been extended
from 100 to 125 days, providing
additional work and income to
rural families.
The initiative also focuses on
skill training programs and selfemployment opportunities,
helping villagers acquire practical skills and generate sustainable livelihoods. Sustainable
development projects in villages
are another key component,
ensuring that economic growth
goes hand in hand with environmental and social responsibility. Speaking at the campaign
launch at the BJP district office,
Panchayati Raj, Rural
Development, and Labour
Minister Prahlad Singh Patel
emphasised that the campaign
is a critical step in translating
the government’s vision of selfreliant villages into action.
“Through VB–G RAM G, we are
not just providing employment;
we are empowering rural communities with skills, opportunities, and dignity,” he said.
The campaign also aims to
encourage active public participation, inviting villagers to
engage in local development
projects and share ideas for
improving livelihoods.
The event
was attended by local leaders
and MLAs, including
Suryaprakash Meena, Mukesh
Tandon, Hari Sapre, Jitendra
Baghel, and Captain Singh Yadav,
alongside senior journalists.
Officials say that this awareness drive is crucial for ensuring
that rural residents understand
and access the scheme,
maximizing its impact on
employment, skill-building, and
village development.
