Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari and District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar jointly inspected the progress of the Nagpur Sports Hub project on Friday. During the visit, they conducted a detailed review of the construction work’s progress and physically inspected various ongoing development works.

 

The following directives and details were highlighted during the inspection: Completion Deadline: Clear instructions were issued to the concerned agencies to complete all project works by July 2026. Phase-wise Completion: Specific buildings within the project must be finished as early as June 2026. Quality Assurance: Officials emphasised that there should be no compromise on the quality of construction while meeting the project timelines. The inspection was attended by Pallavi Dhatrak, Secretary, Divisional Sports Complex Executive Committee, PWD officers and representatives of the project consultant. Once completed, the Nagpur Sports Hub is expected to provide state-of-the-art facilities to athletes, giving a significant boost to sports development in the region.
