NEARLY 200 security personnel
are undergoing rigorous
rehearsals at the Police Line
Ground as preparations gather
pace for the district’s main
Republic Day function. The
rehearsals are being conducted
with precision and discipline
under the close supervision of
Reserve Inspector JP Arya,
reflecting the administration’s
commitment to a flawless celebration.
Speaking about the preparations, Reserve Inspector
Jabalpur, Jai Prakash Arya, said
that the arrangements are being
carried out on a war footing to
ensure smooth execution of the
parade and ceremonial proceedings. He informed that a
total of 14 platoons will participate in the Republic Day
parade, showcasing unity, coordination and patriotic spirit.
The parade will feature contingents from the Indo-Tibetan
Border Police (ITBP), Special
Task Force (STF), Government
Railway Police (GRP), Home
Guards, District Police Force,
along with junior and senior
cadets of the NCC, Naval Wing,
Bharat Scouts and Guides, and
Shaurya Dal. Each participating
unit is putting in long hours of
practice to perfect marching
drills, formations and ceremonial protocols.
Despite the physical strain
and demanding schedule, the
personnel remain highly motivated, driven by the pride of
participating in one of the
nation’s most significant celebrations. Their disciplined
rehearsals symbolise dedication
to duty and respect for the
Constitution. The district’s
main Republic Day function
will be held at the Police Parade
Ground on January 26, where
senior officials, distinguished
guests and citizens will witness
the grand parade and pay tribute to the spirit of the Republic.
