“Use technology and AI, if you want to be competitive, but at the same time, be value-driven, respect people and see the world beyond machine and beyond technology with your heart,” said Dr Sibichen K Mathew, Director General of Income Tax, NADT. Dr Sibichen K Mathew was speaking as the chief guest at the ‘Ashirvachanam Ceremony’ (Blessing ceremony) organised by Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Koradi, to bless and bid adieu to the outgoing students of Std X. Dr Mathew said that, technology will be their aid for their prospects, but it should not replace them.

Their creativity should be foremost. Dr Mathew quoted many motivational examples from various books in his speech. He motivated students to be competitive and principled and to become a comeback specialist in time of failure. Dr Mathew commended the students to follow the concept of ‘Vasudev Kutumbakkum’ which creates a sense of bonding, a sense of responsibility in the students to become a future leader of this country. Teachers’ blessings formed an emotional highlight of the ceremony.

The Class Teachers of Std X—Dr Sheetal Vaidya, Poonam Tiwari, Komal Singh, Shweta Pandey and Pooja Bhagat—shared their heartfelt thoughts and blessings through meaningful citations. Sarbani Bose, Principal, inspired students to follow the path of righteousness and moral integrity by reciting verses from the ‘Taittiriya Upanishad’. Students expressed their patriotism as the school choir rendered melodious patriotic songs and lamps were lit around the map of India. Parents’ representatives Gaurav Zamad and Dr Sonali Borkar conveyed their gratitude to the school for nurturing the students.

The ceremony was graced by dignitaries of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, including office-bearers, committee members, principals of Bhavan’s schools, and School Management Committee members. The programme was compered by Clive Joseph, with a welcome address by Fareena Sheikh and a vote of thanks by Grishma Sahare. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Sarbani Bose. Overall Incharge was Nuzhat Qureshi and Shanawaz Akhtar as Assistant Incharge.
