Leaving the audience both surprised and delighted, police officers some in uniform and others in formals, enjoyed moments of hearty laugh, singing and cracking jokes.
The otherwise serious and always on toes police officers of Bhopal took a break to share some joyful and light-hearted moments at a Milan Samaroh organised by Bhopal Police Commissionerate. The event was a refreshing change, filled with music, greetings, hugs and smiles, showing a softer side of the force.
Officers were seen singing and sharing lighter moments. Songs for every frame of mind were there to celebrate the day. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailendra Singh Chouhan enthralled the audience with his rendition on “Tauba ye matwali chaal, Jhuk jaae phulo ki daal
Tauba ye matwali chaal, ......”
Like police band, the cops who always prove their mettle in field this time they set the stage on fire symbolising nationalism, discipline and glorious history of nation through songs like Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar, Kisika dard mil sake to le udhaar.....”
Other soulful performances of the popular songs and poetry captivated everyone present there adding to
the festive and warm atmosphere of the gathering. Avdhesh Goswami through his witty jokes left people in splits. Tough women officers, including DCP Shraddha Tiwari, ADCP Shalini Dixit, ADCP Manju Khatri, SP Anita Kadam, ADCP Neetu Thakur, were seen sharing interesting incidents while working on field and in a very lighter mood expressed how they cracked typical cases.
The programme was attended by top officials like Commissioner of Police Harinarayanchari Mishra, Additional Police Commissioners Awadhesh Goswami and Deputy Commissioners from different zones including Vivek Singh, Abhinav Chauksey, Mayur Khandelwal, Akhil Patel and Basant Kaul. Officers who are known for their strict and tough demeanor were seen engaged in informal talks, exchanging hugs and enjoying the evening like normal people highlighting the strong bond and unity within the department.
The cultural evening helped ease work stress and brought everyone closer in a relaxed setting.
There was essence of spirit of patriotism in the celebrations, national festivals and special events at police Cricket Ground Civil lines.
Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra who has revived such celebration underlines this initiative not only boost morale but also strengthen teamwork, which ultimately benefits the community they serve.
