Light rainfall was recorded at isolated places in several districts of north and central Madhya Pradesh, while remaining parts of the State stayed dry. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall occurred in districts of Indore and Gwalior divisions, with measurable rainfall reported from Barwani (0.5 mm) and Guna (0.4 mm). Cloudy conditions and moisture incursion also led to dense fog in Rewa and Chhatarpur (Khajuraho) districts, while shallow fog was observed in Satna, Datia, Jabalpur and Gwalior districts. IMD has forecast that rainfall or drizzle accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely at isolated places over Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Datia, Rewa, Satna, Narsinghpur, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts.
 
Rainfall at a few places is expected over Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena and Sheopur districts, while remaining districts are likely to stay dry.this forecast is valid till 8:30 am on January 28. Current weather activity is being driven by a western disturbance over north Pakistan and adjoining regions, along with associated troughs extending across Rajasthan and north India. A fresh western disturbance is expected from the night of January 30, which may again influence weather conditions over north MP, particularly Gwalior–Chambal region. Temperature across the State showed a rising trend during the past 24 hours. Maximum temperature increased appreciably by 2.4°C to 3.3°C in districts of Rewa, Shahdol and Sagar divisions and rose sharply by 4.1°C to 6.8°C in districts of Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain divisions.
 
Highest maximum temperature in the State was recorded at Mandla (30.5°C), followed by Khandwa (30.1°C) and Khargone (30.0°C). Lowest daytime temperature was observed at Morena (18.9°C). Maximum temperature remained below normal in Chambal, Gwalior and Sagar divisions, while they were above normal in Narmadapuram and Jabalpur divisions. Minimum temperature also rose across several regions. An appreciable rise of 2.1°C to 3.9°C was recorded in districts of Bhopal, Gwalior and Chambal divisions, while a marked rise of about 4.2°C was seen in Ujjain division. Lowest minimum temperature in the State was recorded at Shivpuri (7.0°C), followed by Khajuraho (7.4°C) and Pachmarhi (8.6°C). The highest night temperature was observed at Agar (17.1°C). Minimum temperature remained above normal across most divisions, particularly in Ujjain, Rewa and Shahdol divisions. Bhopal experienced cloudy conditions with no rainfall recorded.
 
Maximum temperature remained at 28°C, about 2°C above normal, while minimum temperature was 14°C. Light rainfall is likely in the city during evening hours of January 28, with wind speed expected to be around 14–16 kmph and fog may persist during late night and early morning hours.
