A Hundred Sins

She died a million times
Again & again at the wake of dawn
Until the Sun met the sea,
In vain her conscience chimes.
She cried a thousand rivers
Again & again at her soul’s depth
Until the night unveiled,
In vain her concealed shivers.
She bled a hundred sins
Again & again alongside her tomb
Until the clouds hovered,
In vain her atonement begins.
