AGE no bar, spirits high and confidence higher ... that was the scene at the badminton tourney held at the YMCA Robertson Hall on Sunday. And the climax was a fitting finish as Team Nikhil Sakhare prevailed over Team Parimal Gaidhane in a nail-biting contest. In the final, scores were Nikhil S-Raju K pair lost the opener 19-25;. in second match, Vikas M-Rohit T pair won 25-23; Niket J-Abhijeet T pair won third 25-18 and in the fourth match Rajay S and Manoj G’s 25-20 victory sealed title.

 

The other winning team members included Rajeev Kala, Vikas Manglani, Rohit Tiwari, Rajay S, Manoj G, Tinku, Niket Jain and Abhijeet T. Runners-up team, led by Parimal Gaidhane, included Anand S, Praveen Jain, Dr Abhijeet Deshpande, Dr Manisha, Sanjay N, Gagandeep K, Dipesh P and Shreyas P. The event would not have been successful without the constant support of YMCA management led by Secretary Niraj Singh, Gitesh Jambhulkar and others. Dr Kevin Agrawal was the physio partner. Apart from organising committee of Sachin Khemuka, Anurag Khemuka and Manoj Jain, sponsors GGC, Om Shanti Poha, Daujee Foods, Swad Oil, Ultra Clean and Lkeki helped in hosting the tournament.
