PANCHAYAT representatives from
remote gram panchayats of Sukma district, who arrived in the capital under
the Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Bhraman
Yojna – a public exposure tour scheme,
paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister
Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya, Nava
Raipur Atal Nagar on Tuesday. The CM
interacted with the Panchayat representatives.
Sai said that ensuring the all-round
development of the Bastar region is the
top priority of the state government.
He said the government is continuously
working to deliver basic facilities such
as education, healthcare, roads, electricity and drinking water to every village in Bastar. During discussions with
the public representatives, he said that
development works are being carried
out at a rapid pace in the Bastar region
as well.
The Chief Minister said that
security force camps are being established in remote areas, which is providing both security and momentum
to development activities. Sai said that
fair price shops have now been established in most villages and the benefits of various public welfare schemes
are effectively reaching common citizens. He said that in the near future,
the Bastar region will be completely
free from Naxalism.
The Chief Minister
said that the state government is continuously striving towards the goal of
making Bastar self-reliant. With this
objective, public representatives from
the Bastar region are being given opportunities to visit the capital so that they
can draw inspiration by observing
development works here and promote
comprehensive development in their
respective areas.
Deputy Chief Minister
Vijay Sharma and concerned officials
were present. Under the Hamar
Chhattisgarh Jan Bhraman Yojna,
around 100 Panchayat representatives
from various remote gram Panchayats
of Sukma district have arrived in Raipur
on a two-day visit. During the tour, the
representatives were taken to important sites such as the Secretariat, Jungle
Safari, Tribal Museum, railway station,
airport and shopping mall.
