THE Samrasta Seva Sangathan
organised a seminar and a
plantation campaign on the
occasion of Sri Guru Gobind
Singh Jayanti at Agarwal
Dharamshala, Gwarighat.
Addressing the gathering, chief
speaker Pt Abhinesh Atal
said the strength of a nation lies
not in people alone but in
character building.
Remembering Sri Guru Gobind
Singh on his birth anniversary,
he said that from Guru Nanak Dev
to the tenth Guru, the Sikh Gurus
set unparalleled examples of sacrifice and dedication for the protection of dharma.
He said Guru Gobind Singh
established the Khalsa Panth on
the day of Baisakhi and created
the Panj Pyare by initiating five
person from different social
backgrounds, thereby eliminating caste discrimination.
Chief guest Dr Prahlad Patel,
while addressing the seminar
said that on Guru Gobind Singh
Jayanti it was also important to
remember his father, the ninth
Guru Sri Tegh Bahadur, who sacrificed his life to protect Sanatan
Dharma and oppose forced religious conversions.
Pandit Ramesh Dubey and
Pandit Santosh Shastri of the
Nagar Pandit Sabha also
expressed their views during
the seminar.
Sangathan President Sandeep
Jain said the organisation aims to
ensure that the life, thoughts and
contributions of great personalities who strengthened India’s cultural and spiritual heritage reach
all sections of society.
