NARSINGHPUR police have arrested two thieves
in connection with a tractor-trolley theft case and
recovered stolen goods worth Rs 25.60 lakh from
them. The incident took place on the night of
January 2 at the welding workshop of Narmada
Sugar Mill.
The thieves had stolen four Jugnu trolleys from
the workshop.
After receiving a complaint, the
police registered a case and launched an investigation. During the investigation, police received
a tip-off that the stolen trolleys were hidden in a
forest near Gwari village on the Chawalapani road.
Acting on the information, a police team conducted a search operation in the forest.
During
the search, the police apprehended two suspects
at the scene. The accused were identified as Ashok
Rokde and Ramzan Sheikh, both residents of
Nashik, Maharashtra.
Following interrogation, and based on the
information provided by the accused, the
police recovered the four stolen Jugnu trolleys.
Two
blue Farmtrac-45 tractors, used in the theft, were
also seized.
The total value of the recovered goods is estimated at Rs 25.60 lakh. Action is being taken against
the accused under the relevant sections of the
Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
