IN MANY Government offices,
starting work on time has long
been treated as a polite suggestion. Often, if you try to meet an
officer, it’s nearly impossible to
happen before 11 am. Putting an
end to this habitual late start,
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav
has now ordered that all government offices in the state must
begin work sharply at 10 am. The
move aims to make the five-day
work week system, introduced
during the Covid period, more
effective and to restore discipline
and efficiency in public service.
Biometric attendance and other technological tools will ensure
that officials are actually at their
desks when the day begins.
Dr Yadav was chairing a high-level meeting at the Mantralaya
with senior officials to review the
timely implementation of public welfare schemes, construction projects, and other
Government programmes for
2026. Sankalp Se Samadhan
Campaign from January 12: Dr
Yadav announced that the
‘Sankalp Se Samadhan’ campaign will be launched on
January 12 and continue until
March 31, 2026. The campaign
will focus on 106 key beneficiary-oriented schemes.
The first
phase, from January 12 to
February 15, will involve door-to-door collection of applications, followed by cluster-level
camps from February 16 to
March 16. The third phase, March
16 to 26, will address pending
applications at the block level,
and the final district-level phase,
March 26 to 31, will ensure complete resolution of all remaining
applications and complaints.
The Chief Minister also lauded the Madhya Pradesh Police for
their role against extremism and
appreciated the Forest
Department’s work. He called for
programmes to motivate youth
by showcasing innovative farmers, successful entrepreneurs,
and business leaders, and urged
efforts to curb wasteful practices
at social functions while promoting natural farming with support from social and religious
organisations Highlighting the State
Government’s achievements
over the past two years, Dr
Yadav said that Madhya
Pradesh’s progress has been
appreciated even at the central level.
To accelerate development and ensure smooth
delivery of welfare schemes to
all eligible beneficiaries,
Departments must now work
in mission mode with full
transparency and accountability. He also reflected on 2025
as a successful year for industrial growth and announced
2026 to be celebrated as the
“Farmer Welfare Year.”
The Chief Minister stressed
that the initiative, aimed at a
‘Prosperous Farmer,
Prosperous State’, will involve
co-ordinated efforts across
more than 15 major departments, including agriculture,
horticulture, animal husbandry, co-operation, rural
development, energy, water
resources, forestry, MSME, and
allied institutions.
