THE process of notifying State Governments regarding VB-G Ram G Scheme will be completed within six months. The State Government has implemented the ‘VB-G RAM G’ scheme Now, the guarantee of 125 days of employment for labourers will certainly boost employment. Now, with reforms being implemented, the budget for this scheme has been increased to Rs 95,000 crore. This increase in the budget is almost three times more than during the Congress regime.
 
An important decision has been taken to promote employment by linking this scheme with skills and entrepreneurship, said Chief Minister Mohan Yadav while addressing a press conference in Bhopal. Explaining about ‘Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin), CM said that State will develop a joint action plan of 15 departments to make agriculture a powerful source of employment and industry. This is part of the reform process; instead of opposing this scheme, the Congress should speak about facts.
 
BJP State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal said that the VB-G Ram G Act will develop infrastructure in villages and usher in a new revolution in development. The VB-G Ram G Yojana will make villages prosperous by 2047, achieving the goal of a ‘developed India’. This scheme guarantees 125 days of employment, whereas MGNREGA only provided 100 days of work. State is capable to share the 40 per cent financial allocation to implement the scheme on ground.
 
“The Centre has made a provision of 60/40 ratio for financial allocation under this scheme,and the Madhya Pradesh Government is capable to contribute 40 per cent financial allocation. CM Dr Yadav added during the Congress regime, this scheme provided Rs 35,000 crore, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi increased to Rs 74,000 crore. The Prime Minister is implementing Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Gram Swaraj, Swadeshi, and self-reliance. In the 2026 agricultural year, the government will work to increase farmers’ income by linking agriculture with industry and employment.
 
The VBG Ram G scheme will provide new expansion to agriculture-based industries during this agricultural year. Panchayats have also been empowered to implement this scheme. This is not just a government scheme, but a national-level mission to realise Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India.
 
After the lengthy debate in Lok Sabha, the bill was passed and recently the President of India has given assent to the Viksit Bharat, Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB - G RAM G) Bill, 2025. Over opposition’s allegations on renaming the ‘MGNAREGA’ into the ‘VB-G RAM G’, he said. The scheme is part of the reform process. Congress should speak facts instead of opposing it. BJP government has renamed the scheme with a vision of development.
