DUE to the sensitivity and timely action by State Government and Dindori district administration, an ailing young lady was sent to AIIMS Bhopal for better treatment via air ambulance on Thursday. 25-year-old Kirti Chandel, a resident of Pipariya village in Amarpur block of the district, was sent through air ambulance. Kirti Chandel’s parents earn their livelihood through farming and by working as daily wage labourers.

Her brother, Punu Das Chandel informed that Kirti had undergone surgery for a tumor in her lower back at Raipur Medical College two months ago, but as her health did not improve, she was admitted to the ICU ward of the District Hospital Dindori on Tuesday. Considering the patient’s critical condition, CMHO Dr Manoj Pandey immediately informed Collector Anju Pawan Bhadauria about the situation.

Collector, understanding the seriousness of the matter, discussed it with the state government and higher officials, after which it was decided to provide the patient with an air ambulance facility under the Central Government. Before the young woman was flown to Bhopal, Collector herself went and spoke to Kirti, comforting her and assuring her that she should not worry and would soon recover. Collector also shared her personal mobile number so that Kirti could contact her directly if needed and assured her of all possible support.

A family member of the patient and Dr Pankaj accompanied the patient. SDM, Dindori Bharti Meravi, SDOP Satish Dwivedi, CMHO Dr Manoj Pandey, Naib Tehsildar Shashank Shende, Traffic In-charge Subhash, and other were present. Locals have wished Kirti Chandel a speedy recovery.
