ALERT ticket checking staff of South East Central Railway (SECR) came to the rescue to two minors who had earlier escaped from the clutches of their tormentors. The two kids were noticed alone in S-1 bogie of Train No. 12101 Jnaneshwari Express (LTT-Shalimar) and they came to the notice of Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector, Nagpur, Mrunal Chafle, and Dinesh Pande.

 

Showing compassion the ticket checkers (TCs) gained confidence of the kids and asked them the reason for travelling alone in the train. The two kids said, they were kidnapped and were being taken to work in unsafe conditions in Thane. Somehow, the kids managed to flee from the clutches of their kidnappers and boarded the first available train.

 

The ticket checkers passed on the information to Control and they in turn informed the Government Railway Police (GRP). A GRP team was in attendance at Gondia Railway Station where the two kids were handed over to them. Further investigations are on.
