Kim Rekha Devdhar chosen unanimously to lead US-based cultural body
Kim Rekha Devdhar (Kim Salil Gokhale), a native of Nagpur, has been unanimously elected President of the Austin Marathi Mandal (AMM), Texas, a prominent cultural and service-oriented non-profit organisation affiliated with the Brihan Maharashtra Mandal of North America.
Devdhar completed her schooling at R S Mundle Samarth Nagar School under the Dharampeth Education Society and later graduated from LAD College of Home Science, Nagpur University, where she also earned a gold medal in MA Psychology (PGTD).
During her college years, she served as Nagpur City Co-Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), gaining leadership and organisational experience.
Leveraging this background, she filed her nomination with a strong 12-member panel and was elected unopposed.
She later completed a Master of Public Health from the University of Florida and has worked on social initiatives in Rajasthan through the Piramal Foundation. Actively involved in teaching Marathi children in the US, she now plans new youth-focused initiatives under AMM. She credited her success to family, mentors and well-wishers.
