A TWO-DAYnational seminar on ‘Recent trends in Mathematics’ was launched on the National Mathematics Day 2025 in collaboration with Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Government Science College Jabalpur and Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology Bhopal.
 
During inaugural ceremony, Additional Director, Jabalpur Division of Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department Dr PR Chandelkar highlighted ancient Indian university and education system and its usability. Invited as keynote speaker, retired Professor PV Jain elaborated on the basic concepts of mathematics.
 
Principal Dr Shikha Saxena highlighted the importance of Mathematics in Artificial Intelligence and its ability to solve complex real-world problems in the future. Head of Mathematics Department, Rani Durgavati University, Dr JK Maitra explained about innovations and inventions in the new education system.
 
HoD Mathematics, Science College, Dr Rajesh Tiwari and coordinator Dr GR Sahu briefed about the seminar’s outlines and objectives and it’s acceptability in present scenario. Around 40 research papers were received by researchers of mathematics and computer science while around 300 candidates from different colleges participated in the seminar.
 
During second session, Dean, Mathematic and Computer, Science, Guru Ghasidas University, Professor PP Murthy mentioned about various branches of mathematics. During third session, poster, rangoli and research paper reading were conducted.
