Region, Nagpur, organised one day State
Level Workshop on ‘Ground water
Regulation in Maharashtra’ on Wednesday
at Vasantrao Naik State Agriculture
Extension Management Training
Institute (VANAMATI).
Around 350 participants ,including project proponents from industries, infrastructure and mining sectors from 11 districts of the Vidarbha attended the programme.Otherinvitees to theprogramme
were officers and officials of various State
and Central Government departments
including BIS, FDA, MPCB, Agriculture,
Horticulture, Irrigation, Minor Irrigation
(ZillaParishad),WaterConservation,Rural
WaterSupply etc.The workshop was inaugurated by chief guest Indira Chaudhary,
Deputy Collector, Nagpur. Other dignitaries who graced the dais as the guests
of honour were Rohan Kumar Shaha,
Assistant Commissioner, Food and Drug
Administration (FDA/FSSAI), Nagpur,
Hema Deshpande,Regional Officer,
MaharashtraPollution Control Board,
Nagpur;Raunak Sukhadeve, Scientist-D
& Joint Director, Bureau of Indian
Standards (BIS), Nagpur and Mangesh
Chaudhari, Deputy Director, Groundwater
Surveys and Development Agency (GSDA),
Nagpur. The valedictory session of the
workshop was graced by Pravin Mahire,
Additional Collector, Nagpur.
