Political Case Withdrawal Committee reviews 16 cases; recommends withdrawal of 9

Committee for withdrawal of cases was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief
Minister and Minister for Home
and Jail at Mantralaya, Nava
Raipur Atal Nagar on Wednesday.
Discussions were held regarding
withdrawal of cases related to
political movements.

were present in the meeting.
The meeting included a
detailed discussion on the status of 16 cases including 8
pending cases related to political movements registered
across various districts of the State.
9 cases were recommended for withdrawal, while 2 were referred back to the
districts for reconsideration. Additionally, the committee
rejected the remaining cases after determining that they
were not linked to political movements. The committee
sought information from officials regarding previously recommended pending cases, their current status, and the
further action to be taken in accordance with the rules;
while calling for regular reviews, the committee also directed that cases pending in court be expedited. Deputy Chief
Minister Sharma reviewed cases related to the withdrawal of political cases on an individual basis and discussed
with officials the steps required to advance the necessary
procedures in compliance with the rules.
