Ratan Colony celebrates Navratri with a unique blend of devotion and spine-chilling attractions
A grand darbar of Maa Mahagauri has been set up by the Maa Mahagauri Durga Utsav Samiti in Ratan Colony, Karond, offering devotees a unique combination of religious devotion and thrilling horror-themed attractions during Navratri.
The committee has created an elaborate haunted-themed tableau featuring a Gwalior
asylum-inspired setting,
a post-mortem room, a maze, a spooky forest and a horror house. Special lighting and detailed decorations create
an eerie atmosphere, making the attraction a major draw for visitors.
The committee’s patron, Pandit Kailash Joshi, has been devoted to serving the goddess for 33 years. He began this tradition in Rajasthan, and it continues in Bhopal with the support of committee members and local residents.
Committee president Rohit Joshi said the event was made possible through the support of the local community, committee members and the blessings and assistance of a minister. Participant Prem Singh Thakur also played a significant role in constructing the tableau and managing arrangements.
While the beautifully decorated shrine invites devotees to seek Maa Mahagauri’s blessings, the horror-themed attraction offers visitors an additional experience of excitement and suspense.
The committee has invited devotees and families to visit the pandal, seek the goddess’s blessings and enjoy the distinctive presentation. The initiative aims to make the annual Navratri celebration memorable by introducing something new each year.
