Abhijeet Dipke of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) expressed concern over detention of protesters for raising issues. Dipke was speaking to mediapersons at Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Wednesday.
From airport he reached Deekshabhoomi and paid respects.
Clarifying his organisation’s stand, Dipke said the Cockroach Janata Party is an independent pressure group and is not affiliated with any political party.
While his group and the INDIA bloc were raising similar concerns, the organisation would continue to function independently. He claimed he had no discussion with Rahul Gandhi or other leaders, adding that people should raise their voices on issues affecting the nation’s progress.
Dipke expressed concern over deletion of names from electoral rolls, stating that people whose names were missing from the voter list would be unable to exercise their franchise.
Referring to West Bengal, he questioned the process of voter list revision and the response of the Election Commission and the Supreme Court.
