NETAJI Subhash Chandra Bose
(NSCB) Government Medical
College, Jabalpur, has launched
a specialised Paediatric Urology
Subspecialty Clinic and facility
under its Department of Pediatric
Surgery. The initiative aims to
provide expert diagnosis and
advanced treatment for complex
kidney, urinary tract and genital
disorders in children.
Dean Dr Navneet Saxena,
Superintendent Dr Arvind
Sharma were present with other
senior consultants from different
departments during the inaugural ceremony held on Wednesday.
Heading the effort, Dr Vikesh
Agrawal, Professor and Head of
the Department of Pediatric
Surgery, emphasised the critical
need for public awareness
regarding congenital urinary and
renal anomalies.
Early identification of these conditions is paramount to ensuring timely surgical intervention and preventing
long-term complications in
young patients.
The establishment of this subspecialty facility marks a significant milestone in pediatric
healthcare infrastructure across
the Mahakaushal region and
throughout Madhya Pradesh. By
expanding dedicated clinical
services, the institution strives to
make specialised pediatric urological care accessible to all sections of society.
Medical authorities have urged
regional media institutions to
disseminate information regarding this public health welfare
facility. This proactive initiative
is expected to help parents recognise symptoms promptly and
seek specialised medical support, thereby ensuring improved
healthcare outcomes and a better quality of life for vulnerable
children across the State.
