Staff Reporter :
IN A major push for inclusive
employment, Madhya Pradesh
has launched a special recruitment drive to fill nearly 20,000
vacant Government posts
reserved for divyang.
The General Administration
Department (GAD) issued
directives on October 9, with
the drive to continue till
December 31, 2026.
Official data shows that
against 36,000 posts reserved
for persons with disabilities,
only about 16,000 are filled,
leaving 20,000 vacancies.
Commissioner, Persons with
Disabilities, Dr Ajay Khemariya
said the move fulfils a longpending demand.
In a key reform, there will be
no separate marks for interviews.
Selection will be purely merit-based, as per recruitment rules, educational qualification and eligibility.
To ensure transparency,
departments must publish ads
in two leading dailies, on their
websites and on the Social
Justice and Empowerment of
Persons with Disabilities portal. Recruitment will begin 30
days after publication.
After scrutiny, lists of eligible and ineligible candidates
will be uploaded. Ineligible
candidates will get 15 days to
raise objections. Up to twice
the advertised posts will be
called for document verification. Vacancies from dual selections will be filled from the waiting list. The Government will
now hold this drive annually
from January 1 to March 31 and
has replaced the manual form
system of April 29, 2025, with
a new online record system.
