“Marriage is not a cage for women; it is a garden where two people bloom together,” Dr Shruti Neeraj Sawalakhe from Nagpur made this statement here on Friday. She was speaking at a press conference held at Hotel Tuli Imperial, Ramdaspeth. Dr Sawalakhe said women could balance professional responsibilities, family commitments and personal aspirations. Dr Sawalakhe has won the Mrs United Nations 2026 title at an international pageant held at Crowne Plaza, Rohini, New Delhi. She received the Mrs United Nations Earth crown. Her winning costume represented the Indian Navy, Army and Air Force. Contestants from several countries, including Japan, Kazakhstan and Russia, participated in the pageant. A dental surgeon and cosmetologist, Dr Sawalakhe has completed two fellowships in cosmetology and holds an Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Hospital Management. She is director at Jai Institute and Bhanukrupa Hospital in city. She added that she intend to promote health awareness, women’s empowerment and self-confidence, adding that compassion and humanity matter beyond professional achievements.
