“It is the duty of society to nurture a generation of youth (Gen Z) who place the nation above all (Rashtra Sarvo Pari) and contribute to nation building,” said Shantakka, Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, on Friday. She was speaking at the Vijayadashmi Utsav of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) held in the premises of Mahatma Gandhi Centennial Sindhu Mahavidyalaya, Jaripatka. Anuradha Prabhudesai, Founder, Lakshya Foundation was present as chief guest. Karuna Sathe, Nagpur Mahanagar Karyavahika, also shared the dais. Shantakka, in her address, emphasised the importance of nurturing patriotic youth for building a prosperous nation.

“There is a section of youth that is being brainwashed by ‘Dimagi Naxals’ and are creating instability in the Indian society,” said Shantakka. She added that these sections are creating havoc with the aim of destroying Indian culture, instead of bringing a positive change in the society. RSS Pramukh Sanchalika stated that the organisation is working with mantra of ‘Prabhav se Parinam se Parivartan’. “Volunteers of RSS have been active in bringing positive impact in the society in testing times like COVID. Sevikas not only handled distribution of food and vaccines in various parts of the country, but also brought a positive change like in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh where they cleaned a dirty pond and make it useful for villagers,” said Shantakka. She also appreciated efforts of Captain Smit Machchhar, for his heroic efforts during recent plane hijack incident.

“Act of Captain Smit shows that protecting humanity instead of destruction is the core of Indian ideology,” said Shantakka. Rajesh Loya, Nagpur Nagar Sanghachalak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh; Dipak Tamshettiwar, Vidarbha Prant Sanghchalak; Dr Jyoti Bhakre, Vice-Chancellor, Maharashtra National Law University; Mudhoji Raje Bhonsale; Dr Sarita Pendse; Dr Dilip Gupta; and Nitu Chaubey were also present among other prominent personalities from the city. Karuna Sathe, made introductory remarks, while Sonali Gaikwad compered the programme. The programme concluded with recitation of Vande Bharat.
