The city is gearing up for Dussehra, with preparations for Ravan Dahan entering their final stages at several locations. The celebrations will feature towering effigies, with 101-foot Ravanas planned in both Kolar and Semra. Preparations are also underway at prominent venues, including TT Nagar and BHEL Dussehra grounds. On Link Road No. 3, artisans are working day and night to complete the effigies. Using bamboo, paper and other materials, they are putting the finishing touches on their structures and decorations ahead of the festival. Apart from Kolar and Semra, Ravan Dahan events are planned at Katara Hills, Misrod Road, Karond Ground, Gandhi Nagar Ground, Bairagarh Ground, Jamboree Ground, Minal Residency and Ayodhya Nagar, among other locations.

A 51-foot Ravana effigy is proposed at TT Nagar Dussehra Ground, while BHEL will organise celebrations at its Dussehra Ground. Local committees and organisers are making arrangements for the events and visitors expected to attend with their families. Dussehra symbolises the victory of good over evil, commemorating the traditional account of Lord Rama defeating Ravana. The annual Ravana Dahan remains a major attraction, bringing communities together to celebrate the festival with devotion and enthusiasm.
