Trust timing of the Divine

My morning ritual includes sipping a warm cup of coffee in the garden while soaking the early morning sunlight, feeling the cool breeze and watching the lush green grass and plants. On one of those usual mornings I noticed four four plants in the garden- all of the same kind, but while three of them were in full bloom, buds of the fourth one were still closed. Two hours later, my eyes fell on the ‘fourth’ plant again. This time, the buds had bloomed and much bigger than those in the other three plants. My everyday garden musings made me wonder, when flowers and Nature do not put deadlines, why do we?

Why do we set standards of success? Nature has its own way of teaching us lessons, when we least expect them. Trust the Divine’s timing. Some people take long time, more effort to bloom, but eventually, they will. Comparison steals the joy of our own journey. We need to understand that each one of us has different timelines. The bud that looked still in the morning was preparing patiently to have its moment of bloom. Similarly our waiting time is also a test of our patience. In a fast-paced world where one values speed over efficacy, stop asking “Why not me yet”, instead, shift your focus to being grateful for having a good time growing and transforming. Because beauty is not something that happens in minutes, beauty lies in becoming. When it is your time, you will bloom too, bigger and better than expected. Till then clap for others and just keep putting in your efforts.
