IQBAL Munir Kashmiri has been honoured with the WIFA Special Recognition Award 2025–26 for his significant contribution to the development and expansion of football in Nagpur. The prestigious award was conferred by Western India Football Association (WIFA) at the iconic Cooperage Football Stadium, Mumbai by Praful Patel, President, WIFA.

 

Kiran Chougale, Secretary and Haresh Vora, Vice President and many members were prominently present on the occasion. WIFA commended Kashmiri for his tireless efforts to promote football in the Nagpur district, creating new opportunities for players, and strengthening the sport at the district level. WIFA stated that the development of football in Maharashtra depends on the tireless efforts of such dedicated individuals. Vora, who is also Nagpur District Football Association (NDFA) President, congratulated Kashmiri and wished him well in his future endeavours. This honour has brought joy to the sports
