A SEVERE collision between a
school van carrying children
and a car took place on Subhash
Nagar Garha-Purwa Road on
Thursday morning, resulting in
minor to serious injuries to at
least 9 students from
Dhanwantri Nagar branch of
British Fort English School. The
intense impact caused panic in
entire area, prompting local
bystanders to launch an emergency rescue operation.
The vehicle involved in the
accident was a school van (registration number MP 20 BA
5517) carrying the students
from Classes 3 to 5 of the School.
The high-impact head-on collision severely crushed the driver’s side of the school van and
heavily damaged the oncoming
car. Local residents acted quickly to rescue the children trapped
inside the crumpled vehicle.
Soon after getting the information, Police teams from
Dhanvantari Nagar Police
reached the spot. Meanwhile,
local citizens arranged ambulances to rush the injured children to Medical Hospital.
Anxious parents and relatives
rushed to the hospital after being
informed by eyewitnesses, who
retrieved emergency contact
numbers from the children.

The minister directed the medical officers to give
special attention to the children
and ensure that they receive all
necessary treatment. The accident took place around 11 am
when a speeding car collided
with a school van carrying children in the Garhapurwa area
under Garha police station.
Nine children were injured and
were taken to the Medical
College for treatment.
