At least 500 girls and women above the age of five will receive one month of free lathi-kathi training by Betiyan Shakti Foundation. The training camps will begin from October 21 across Nagpur. The initiative is being organised as part of the foundation’s annual Mahakanya Pujan programme, which will be held on October 19 on Durgashtami at its auditorium in Kharbi.

 

The foundation organises social and women and girl-child empowerment programmes every year. Training camps will be held at Shivkrupa Society Aradhana Nagar Ground, Subhedar Akhada in New Subhedar Layout, Jai Bajrang Cricket Ground in Gotal Panjri and other grounds. Foundation representatives Shubhangi Nandekar and Savita Rathod appealed to interested girls and women to register for the training.
