HANDMADE decorative products are attracting visitors to the Craft Bazaar at the historic Gauhar Mahal, where artisans from across Madhya Pradesh are showcasing traditional crafts and festive creations. Organised by the Madhya Pradesh Hastshilp and Hathkargha Vikas Nigam, the exhibition will continue until October 22.
The bazaar features Shahdol’s woodcraft, festive outfits, Budni’s dandiya sticks and the renowned Nandana prints of Mandsaur and Neemuch.
The products reflect the State’s rich craft heritage while offering visitors distinctive options for the festive season.
Special decorative items for Karwa Chauth and Diwali are among the major attractions. Bhopal-based artisan Harshita Prajapati has created special pieces using Lippon art, a decorative craft traditionally associated with intricate mud-and-mirror work.
The exhibition aims to promote Madhya Pradesh’s traditional handicrafts and handloom products while providing artisans with a platform to display and sell their creations.
It also gives visitors an opportunity to support local craftsmanship and explore handmade crafts for festive home décor and worship.
