Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) serves as a true lifeline, carrying the light of progress to every nook and corner of the state. Keeping this crucial engine running in the face of daunting challenges are MSEDCL’s female employees - affectionately termed ‘Saudaminis’ (women of courage and brilliance). Far beyond connecting power lines, these dedicated women are actively illuminating lives across the region. To salute their invaluable contributions and steadfast dedication during the auspicious occasion of Navratri, MSEDCL organised a touching felicitation ceremony titled ‘Sanman Saudaminincha’ at its Nagpur Zone headquarters, Vidyut Bhavan. More than a routine award ceremony, the event stood as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude from the MSEDCL family toward its most resilient and dutiful members. During the event, several female employees shared personal journeys and struggles, leaving the audience deeply moved. Serving across diverse terrains - from the remote, dense forests of Gadchiroli to urban Nagpur - they faced every hardship with optimism.

The speakers noted the journey from manually drawing lines on paper with rulers in earlier years to effortlessly managing modern computerised systems today. Expressing gratitude, the awardees shared that balancing family and professional commitments becomes seamless when work is approached with joy and positively. Their inspiring words reflected deep perseverance alongside an unshakeable spirit to serve. The honourees were felicitated by senior officials of MSEDCL Nagpur Zone, including - Rajesh Naik, Chief Engineer (Nagpur Zone); Amit Paranjape, Superintending Engineer (Regional Office); Sanjay Wakde, Superintending Engineer (Nagpur Rural Circle); Praful Lande, Superintending Engineer (Nagpur Urban Circle); Mahesh Jadhav, Assistant General Manager (Human Resources); and others. Each female employee was presented with a book - symbolizing knowledge and intellect - along with a rose, representing delicate yet firm strength.
