TWO matches, 23 wickets!
Ruby Colts’ bowler Kunal
Nagar is making batters dance
to his tunes.
The 20-year-old left-arm
orthodox is forcing Vidarbha
selectors to take note of his
exceptional spin bowling with
back to back 10 wickets in a
match during the Guzder A
Division Two-Day League Tournament.
Playing on his home turf, Nagar, who hails from
Noida, took 13 wickets in a match against Eleven
Star Cricket Club as Ruby Colts thrashed them by
an innings and 48 runs at WCL ground. In the first
innings, Nagar snared seven wickets as Eleven Star
managed 242 runs. Ruby Colts declared their
innings at 370-9 and then bundled out Eleven Star
for 80 runs from 22.1 overs. Nagar rolled his arms
again taking six second innings wickets.
Earlier in their tournament opener, Nagar had
taken 10 wickets (nine in first innings) against All
India Reporter. Last year, Nagar had scalped 40
wickets for VMV from eight matches in Guzder
League. With the Under-23 Col CK Nayudu all
India tournament under way, Nagar’s performance
might force Vidarbha selectors to include him in
the team for future matches.
Riding on Mayank Jasore’s 114 and double sixwicket hauls by Pushpak Gujar (6-89, 6-41), All
India Reporter defeated SGR Sports Academy by
an innings and 21 runs.
