The poor condition of the road connecting Waranga village to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) has become a cause of concern for commuters, students and local residents, prompting a demand for its immediate repair and strengthening. According to a representation submitted by Waranga Gat Gram Panchayat to the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), Division No. 2, Nagpur, large and deep potholes at several places along the stretch are obstructing the smooth movement of buses and other vehicles. The bus service between Waranga and IIIT has already commenced, but the damaged road is creating difficulties for commuters. Students travelling by bicycle to attend educational institutions and villagers commuting towards Butibori for employment are among those facing considerable inconvenience.

The condition of the road deteriorates further during the monsoon, when rainwater and slush accumulate in the potholes, making it difficult for commuters to travel safely. The damaged stretch also poses a risk of accidents and potential loss of life, the representation stated. Highlighting the urgency of the issue, the representation has urged the PWD to undertake immediate repairs, fill the potholes and strengthen the road to ensure safe and smooth traffic movement. The department has been requested to take necessary action at the earliest, considering the difficulties faced by students, daily commuters and residents of Waranga.
