RAIPUR :
SHORTLY after arriving in
Chhattisgarh on her maiden
official visit as BJP State incharge, Smriti Irani issued a
clear directive on organisational
discipline to party cadres.
Speaking at the BJP headquarters premises, Irani strictly instructed that only officials
and members explicitly invited
to scheduled organisational
meetings should be present at
the State office, warning workers against visiting the office unannounced or without valid official cause. Following her
arrival at the State headquarters alongside co-in-charge
Siddharth Shambhu, Irani traveled to Abhanpur, where she
joined Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, MP Brijmohan Agrawal,
Rajya Sabha MP Lakshmi Verma, key party office-bearers,
and local citizens to sit together on the floor and listen to
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio broadcast,
Mann Ki Baat.
The event marked the commencement of an intensive
two-day itinerary featuring a series of back-to-back review
sessions to assess the party’s state apparatus.
The scheduled timetable began with an organisational consultation
with the State President, State General Secretary
(Organisation), and State General Secretaries, followed by
a strategic progress review with State-level office-bearers.
Irani then conducted a joint briefing with divisional incharges, co-in-charges, district in-charges, district co-incharges, and district presidents, before proceeding to a
focused strategy session with former Members of Parliament
and former Members of the Legislative Assembly.
The review schedule concluded with an interactive
feedback dialogue with former State office-bearers and a
late-evening session with the BJP State Core Group to
outline forthcoming political priorities and organisational roadmaps.
