Launching the party’s long-term political roadmap in the State, Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary and State in-charge Smriti Irani announced Mission 2028 during a series of strategic consultations at the BJP State headquarters, Kushabhau Thakre Parisar. Accompanied by BJP National Secretary and State co-in-charge Siddharth Shambhu during their two-day organisational tour, Smriti Irani addressed a series of meetings attended by State office-bearers, former Members of Parliament, former Members of the Legislative Assembly, and chairpersons of State corporations, boards, and commissions. Outlining the core objectives of

Mission 2028, she described the initiative not merely as an electoral target, but as a broader commitment to advancing regional development, ensuring transparent governance, and returning to power with a decisive majority in the 2028 Assembly elections. Highlighting grassroots coordination, Irani called on party workers to build direct public outreach, strengthen organisational networks down to the individual polling booth level, and maintain strict internal discipline. She emphasised that sustained electoral success relies on dedicated field work, personal voter connections, and disciplined execution of central and State Government policies.

The organisational review commenced with a group viewing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast, followed by a succession of structured strategy sessions. Irani conducted individual and joint consultations with State BJP President Kiran Dev, State General Secretary (Organisation) Karmveer Singh, State General Secretaries Yashwant Jain, Akhilesh Soni, and Dr Naveen Markandey, alongside divisional in-charges, district presidents, and senior party leaders to align future political activities across Chhattisgarh.
