Investigation into the counterfeit currency notes seizure case revealed that the accused was attempting ‘manifestation’ by printing the counterfeit notes at his rented house. He believed that keeping bundles of cash around him would attract more wealth. His attempt to turn his belief into reality ended with the police seizing the fake notes from his house in Wathoda. The accused, Pushpam Krishna Bandane, was arrested on Sunday night. A local court remanded him to police custody until October 30. Police seized the counterfeit notes from his house in Chaitanyeshwar Nagar. During the investigation, they found that he had printed notes worth Rs 37 lakh on both sides of the paper. Another Rs 48 lakh worth of notes had been printed on only one side.

Investigators found that Pushpam had bought a colour printer from Amazon around 15 days ago. He also purchased paper from the Mahal area. He allegedly used the printer to print currency designs and then cut the paper to match the size of actual banknotes.According to the investigation, Pushpam was influenced by the idea of ‘manifestation’. People who follow this concept believe that focusing on their desires and maintaining positive thoughts can help them achieve their goals. Pushpam believed that keeping large amounts of cash at home would attract more money into his life. Acting on this belief, he began printing currency notes. The investigation also revealed that Pushpam had earlier run a Government-subsidised ration shop. The shop has since shut down. He had also mortgaged his family’s gold. Police are now checking his bank accounts and gathering details of the printer and other items he purchased online. Further investigation is underway.
